Beyond Blindness President and CEO will serve as Education Commissioner
SANTA ANA, Calif. (July 2023) — First Five Orange County recently appointed Angie Rowe to their board of commissioners. Rowe, President and CEO of Beyond Blindness — a nonprofit organization based in Santa Ana that empowers children with visual impairments and other disabilities to achieve their fullest potential — will serve a 2-year term as Education Commissioner.
“My role at Beyond Blindness building a leading early childhood program that serves both typically developing and children with low incidence disabilities in inclusive educational classrooms will bring unique insights and experiences to the work First 5 does and will support the goals of their current strategic plan,” said Rowe.
First Five Orange County is a dynamic, mission-driven public agency that invests in programs and projects to improve the system of care for young children and families, with the vision that all children reach their full potential.
