August is Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month
This month, we want to raise awareness about the importance of children’s eye health and safety, and how it can affect learning and development. Taking care of your eyes is essential at any stage of life. However, it is especially important to identify visual problems early on, as it can ensure children receive the help they need as their eyes continue to develop.

Vision Screenings and Exams
Mark your calendars for free vision screenings and examinations from Beyond Blindness and our generous partners.
As kids prepare to go back to school this August, take advantage of free vision screenings and examinations offered by Beyond Blindness through a partnership with Ketchum School of Optometry and and community screenings in collaboration with the Family Support Network. Vision examinations will be held across Orange County, with new dates and partners being added to our Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month webpage as they are confirmed.
