Bright Futures Legacy Society
In 1962, six blind individuals recognized that services to promote independence for the blind and visually impaired were critically needed. What began 60 years ago became Blind Children’s Learning Center, a leading accredited organization for children with visual impairments and other disabilities in Orange County.
Fast forward to today, an expanded vision was needed to reflect the robust needs of children and their families. The Board of Directors went through a careful strategic planning process and embraced a new organization name, Beyond Blindness, introduced an expansive vision, and formally endorsed the Bright Futures Legacy Society to ensure resources for the next 60 years and beyond.
Beyond Blindness will continue to evolve, improve, and expand as the primary resource for families of children with visual impairments and other disabilities. Our vision is to create a world where all children, no matter their abilities, are equipped to live full and rewarding lives.
By becoming a member of the Bright Futures Legacy Society, you can ensure that our vision will be a reality for a wider and larger population.
