In partnership with Moustaches for Kids, Beyond Blindness is introducing a new philanthropic campaign to raise support for our kiddos and programs. We’re calling on any of you who want to grow a ‘stache for a great cause.
Here is how it works:
- Sign up to be a Grower. Dads, grandpas, uncles, caregivers, alumni and anyone that can grow a ‘stache can sign up for this fun and meaningful campaign.
- Grow a moustache for 30 days starting May 9, and join us for weekly checkpoint parties taking place around town.
- Fundraise. Enlist your family, friends and coworkers to cheer you on and support your ‘stache-growing efforts with a donation that will benefit Beyond Blindness.
- Celebrate! Growers will be honored at the Stache Bash, a moustache-themed extravaganza and awards show taking place June 8 at The Met in Costa Mesa.
Mark your calendars for these important Moustaches for Kids dates:
- Thursday, May 9 from 6-9 PM: Kick off growing season with a Clean Shave Day at The District Lounge in Orange.
- Thursday, May 16 from 6-9 PM: Join us for the first Moustache Checkpoint at Beyond Blindness, where we’ll be celebrating with a wine and paint date night.
- Thursday, May 23 from 6-9 PM: Compete in a a “Rad Dad”-themed trivia night at Crossfit 1886 in Orange.
- Thursday, May 30 from 6-9 PM: Throw on your best Hawaiian shirt for a “Magnum P.I” pub crawl through the Orange Circle
- Saturday, June 8: Show off your growth and enjoy a live band, DJ, drinks and dancing at the Stache Bash costume party and awards ceremony, where Moustaches for Kids will hand out the coveted Stachey Awards.
By growing out your ’stache, you’ll be helping to grow Beyond Blindness’ world-class early intervention, education and enrichment, and family support programs for children with visual impairments and other disabilities.
