Providing Essential Early Intervention Services From Birth to Age 5
Essential early intervention helps your infant or toddler achieve their fullest potential. Early intervention is crucial as it helps children overcome obstacles and delays caused by a visual impairment.
The members of the Beyond Blindness team are experts in early intervention and are leading the charge to change lives of children with visual impairments and other disabilities throughout Orange County and beyond.
Early Intervention Services Include:
Core Services
At-Home Services
Home-based early intervention and vision stimulation is essential in helping your child meet their important milestones. During weekly home visits from Infant Development Specialists, families are provided with parent education and support for children with visual impairments and other disabilities that address developmental delays and help promote growth and learning.
Infant/Toddler Classrooms
Children with visual impairments and other disabilities need specialized support in learning settings. Our toddler classrooms focus on healthy development and school readiness and provide a highly inclusive environment and specialized training in sensory development, utilization of low vision, and adaptive skills.
Therapy Services
Depending on your child’s needs, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy are available to help optimize your child’s development for an independent future. Additionally, our therapy services ensure that your child meets critical milestones and establishes a long-term path towards meeting their full potential.
